FAQ
1 - Accessing the EUAA Learning Management System (LMS)
Our LMS (Moodle) requires a minimalistic setup for trainers and learners to access and use the platform efficiently and smoothly. Here below you find more details:
- Internet connection: A stable and reasonably fast internet connection is necessary for a seamless experience. The EUAA LMS is primarily web-based, and a slow connection may result in performance issues.
- Web Browser: A modern web browser is essential for accessing the EUAA LMS interface. Popular options include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. It is suggested to have the user’s browser updated to the latest version to avoid potential compatibility problems and ensure the best experience. EUAA LMS is fully compatible with:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Safari
- Edge
- Opera
- etc. Note: from v3.10 Moodle does NOT support Internet Explorer 11.
- Hardware: EUAA LMS doesn't need particularly high-end hardware requirements. Any modern computer or mobile device (ideally tablets but also phones can be used effectively for navigation) should be capable of running Moodle experiences effectively.
- Web Browser requirements: Hardware and Operating System requirements are based on the web browser you are using. Therefore, we recommend referring to the guidelines provided by your browser provider:
- Screen Size and Resolution: A screen resolution of 1024x768 pixels or higher is recommended for optimal viewing of the LMS interface. The responsive design of the EUAA LMS installation allows the content to adapt to different screen sizes; despite the theme enables also mobile users, larger screens (laptop, desktop, and tablets) are generally more comfortable for e-learning purpose.
- Operating System (OS): being a web-based platform, our LMS is operating systems agnostic. Users can access with machines based on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The user’s OS is required to be relatively up to date to ensure a secure and optimized experience.
- JavaScript: the EUAA LMS relies on JavaScript for some interactive features. The student needs to ensure that JavaScript is enabled in their web browser for such activities.
- Cookies: EUAA LMS uses cookies for user authentication and other functionalities. These are typically enabled by default; however, users are required to activate them in their browser in case they are not set up yet.
- Plugins: our EUAA LMS site doesn’t require specific plugins or additional tools, for video conferencing as this service runs on a separate platform (Webex) which is not integrated. No plugin or additional software is required to use interactive content, as the learner experience is entirely web-based.
- Additional Requirements: the EUAA LMS is configured in way that there is no need to install any third-party software to access the platform and consume the content. Moreover, most modern browsers come with built-in PDF viewer functionality, so also this content format is fully covered; alternatively, users can download and install Adobe PDF Reader or equivalent software.

Some modules designed with this layout have a set of restrictions to prevent the navigation to the next sub-module unless all the activities of the previous one have been fully completed.
Further information on how to navigate is available in the Orientation for Learners module.
